Spring Break in Taos!

Taos is the perfect getaway for Spring Break; enjoy cultural activities such as visiting local galleries and museums, check out the indie Taos Shortz Film Festival (taosshortz.com) or romp around the mountain (skitaos.org) with some of these fun events:
  • Race down the tubing hill, open 2 to 6 pm every day from March 6 through the 16, in honor of spring break.
  • Enjoy the Spring Beer Festival on March 9, where you can sample delicious beers from all across the Southwest, coupled with food from some of Taos’ best restaurants.
  • That same night will be Ernie Blake’s birthday celebration with fireworks and a torchlight parade.
  • The next day, March 10, is the start of Teen/College Snowsports Week, 6:00am classes featuring a fun, high-energy curriculum for skiers or boarders looking to learn a new sport or improve their skills.
  • Advanced skiers or boarders can check out the Mogul/Steeps Camp on March 16-17 and learn why Taos is often referred to as “a four letter word for steep.”
  • On March 16, take part in the New Belgium Scavenger Hunt; all proceeds will benefit the Field Institute of Taos.
  • Then, on March 17, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with live music, promotions by Baileys and Jameson, and of course, by wearing green!
