Obviously everyone knows about the great Taos Ski Valleys winter activities, but how many of you know about all the great stuff you can do up there in the Summer?
Not only is there all the great hiking trails to enjoy during the day, but there is also full moon hikes up to Williams Lake. Done once a month, this hike which provides a beautifully different way to experience this popular hike.
They've also open up the chair lifts on the weekends, again providing a different perspective on the familiar view.
For those that feel a little more active, you can always cycle up the ski valley road! Head out that way on any weekend and you'll see plenty of cyclists taking on the 1600ft climb. If you go after breakfast, you may even see our managers, Erika and Mark taking it on!
If cycling isn't your thing, how about the annual "Up and Over 10k Trail run"! This punishing 10k run isn't your usual run with a 2612ft climb in the first half before a similar decent on the return leg! Held in August this race attracts some serious athletes and some even more impressive times!
Being Taos, summer wouldn't be complete without some live music! With concerts ranging from the excellent Taos Opera Institute to Michael Hearnes Big Barn Dance, there will undoubtedly be something to your taste.
